Theme Hong Kong
Displays & Production Shots
More to come
Although I live in England, it so happened that I was in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square incident and because of my profession I got to know the Hong Kong media including the left wing journalists. I was shown some photos by an editor of a left wing magazine of the happenings in the square that he would not publish, but the horrible sight affected him. I was deeply shocked. I was also moved by the reaction of Hong Kong people to this incident. Knowing that some of them would emigrate to the UK before the hand-over. I staged project Theme Hong Kong to promote greater understanding between the two peoples. Apart from creative performing programmes I mounted relevant displays at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Shaw Theatre foyers, and at the Commonwealth Institute and Redbridge Library. These are some of the images of the venues and the displays. I will gradually upload more as there are quite a lot of mainly photographic displays and I am still categorising them.

HK Government Posters
A government official provided many posters of Hong Kong for my Theme Hong Kong display. The following are some examples showing the old world charm.
where displays were mounted in London.
HK Children's Art
A set of photos of children's paintings of Hong Kong were provided for display by a Hong Kong Children's club. I need to find the rest to upload!
At the moment just three of them, plenty more to come with proper captions!
